5 Must-Dos When You’re in Australia

Australia represents the perfect definition of serenity and natural beauty. On arrival, it’s very easy to get overwhelmed by the number of fantastic opportunities that present themselves, but we got you covered. Whether you are looking forward to a great hike in the outback, surfing in the clear turquoise waters or jumping out of a plane from an insane height, Australia offers it all and more. To point you in the right direction, here are five must-dos when you are in Australia.

1. Explore Fraser Island

It’s believed to be the biggest sand island in the whole world, and as a result, it’s becoming increasingly popular with more and more people putting it on their bucket lists. Though there are numerous ways to enjoy this island, the tag along tour is the most adventurous. It involves joining a team of 20 or so travelers and in groups of five to seven you enjoy a sandy drive on massive 4-wheelers. You get to enjoy the breathtaking view of Lake McKenzie and witness the famous wreck of the S.S Maheno.

2. Take a tour of Sydney

Sydney is an amazing huge city that has truckloads of fun to offer. You could spend two weeks and still not have explored all it has to offer. Whether you want to bond with nature as you hike on the Blue Mountains or frolic on the Sandy beaches nearby or even enjoy a night of theater. Sydney has so much to offer; you are going to love every second of it.

3. Surf your heart out

Most, if not everyone, who doesn’t know how to surf will admit to wanting to try out their hand in surfing should the opportunity present itself. Well, there is no better place to ride waves than in the clear and warm waters of Australia. If you are daring enough, you can buy a board, and go teach yourself in the ocean or hire a surf instructor to teach you the basics.

4. Discover the beaches

Australia boasts of a coastline that goes for almost 37,000 kilometers with over 11,000 beaches. Make your way to the nearest beach and enjoy the beautiful sun rays as you enjoy some fun beach water sports such as jet skiing.

5. Hit the great ocean road

If you are a road trip kind of person, then you are going to love driving 243 kilometers from Melbourne to the famous Port Campbell National Park where you will find the 12 apostles waiting for you!
