Orlando, Florida – A Top Tourist Destination

Orlando, Florida is a top tourist destination. In one of my reads, I’ve learned that in the year 2004, a recorded 48 million people visited Orlando. I bet during that time, Orlando Hotels were fully booked and jam packed! This amazing place is home to some famous tourist attractions like the Walt Disney World Resorts, the Kennedy Space Center, SeaWorld Orlando, Universal Studios and various theme parks and water resorts.

The various activities and fun adventures that allure many tourists and visitors have long been the reason why Orlando, Florida is a popular and a must-visit and see place. I haven’t been there myself but if I would plan to visit Orlando, I would surely check out all the attractions, take hundreds of snaps of all the wonderful places, and even take on a gastronomic adventure. There is actually a Facebook page where I can check out on the things to do in Orlando. I’m sure it will really come in handy when that day will come that I visit Florida.

Hotel Stella

Last week, we went to Cebu for some important medical appointments. We stayed in a classy budget hotel, that is Hotel Stella. Located at the heart of uptown Cebu, Hotel Stella is just walking distance to the malls, hospitals, government offices, and other distinct landmarks at the uptown area.

We had our reservations done online and got a Deluxe Room for three adults and two children. We were so enticed at their website’s photos so without hesitation, we booked right away for two nights. I wasn’t able to take photos of the room while it was still spic and span because we were hurrying to go out for a quick visit to my mom in Minglanilla. But here’s a photo of the room we had (taken from their website).

I honestly was a bit disappointed with our room, as you can see in the photo, the other bed is bigger, but when we were there, they were of the same size, the smaller one. So we had to fit ourselves in the small bed, hubby and Kuya Bogs, me and Baby Job and the nanny, on the extra bed, on the floor. :-( Good thing, the small room had a nice flat screen TV and an extra outlet where we could charge our mobile phones and my netbook.

Service at the hotel was, let’s say, okay. If there was a suggestion box, I would have written a note and tell them to improve their services. Anyway, since it’s a budget hotel, extra stuff had to paid, like extra towels, pillows, blankets, even soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste. Of course, we had all those, except for the extra pillow and blanket for the nanny. The only freebies were glasses and hangers… lol! But the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Aesthetically, the hotel is very nice. It has a contemporary design, which I personally like. This is the hotel’s lobby:

That’s hubby and Baby Job and the nanny, waiting for our check in. Notice the nice modern furniture? I so love the chair where hubby is seated. They have a small cafe cum dining area, and mind you, food was great and very affordable.

If you are looking for a budget hotel, then Hotel Stella is it. Rooms start at P900 plus (about $21 dollars), Deluxe, Superior and Family Rooms all come with free breakfast.
